- I am unable to communicate suddenly with AOL using my Aspen 28IDSSA 28.8 modem.
-
- I can connect (mostly) with Compuserve and Netcom, but I find if I leave my PC
- on for a while and then try to use the modem, the modem doesn't respond to my
- DUN connection request. Powering the PC off corrects the problem.
-
- The modem also doesn't work with Winfax Pro 4.0. I have tried setting it up as a
- generic Class 1 and a Genric Class 2 modem, all to no avail. It begins to
- output a page and then dies before the first page is complete. Any suggestions
- appreciated.
-
- I believe that this modem uses the Rockwell chipset (version unknown) with all
- of the attendant RPI problems.
-
- Does anyone have the setup strings which work best for this modem for AOL,
- Compuserve, Winfax Pro 4.0, and a dialup networking connection?
-
- Thanks
